The Powerball jackpot has surged to $100 million for tonight’s upcoming draw!
With no division one winner in the past four draws, the jackpot for Powerball draw 1489 has climbed to a staggering $100 million. This makes it the third-highest prize in any Australian lottery game in 2024.
The odds of winning the massive jackpot, which requires matching seven numbers plus the Powerball, are approximately 1 in 134 million.
Millions of Australians are expected to take part in Thursday’s draw. Earlier this year, a record-breaking $200 million jackpot was won in February, while a South Australian player claimed the largest individual win ever in an Australian lottery, taking home $150 million.
In August, a Brisbane woman won the $100 million Powerball jackpot in draw 1475. When asked how she planned to spend her newfound fortune, she said. “Maybe a family holiday somewhere. We’ve always wanted to visit New Zealand and Fiji.”
