For Real Life! They are Working on “Bluey The Movie”!

A feature film based on the beloved Australian animated series “Bluey” is set to hit theatres worldwide in 2027, marking an exciting addition to the franchise, we don’t know who’s more excited the kids or the parents. This project is a collaboration between BBC Studios and Walt Disney Studios, with series creator Joe Brumm at the helm as both writer and director.

The film will be produced by Ludo Studio, which is known for its engaging content for children.
The original voice cast will reprise their roles, including Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack as Bluey’s parents, Chilli and Bandit. Music for the film will be composed by Joff Bush, who has crafted the series’ signature sound. Co-director Richard Jeffery and producer Amber Naismith, recognized for her work on “Happy Feet,” are also part of the creative team.

Brumm has said that his enthusiasm for the project, stating that after exploring longer storytelling formats in the show’s third season finale, a feature film felt like a natural progression. He aims to create an “experiential event” that families can enjoy together.

Following its theatrical release, the film will be available for streaming on Disney+ and ABC iview in Australia. As “Bluey” continues to capture audiences globally, recently becoming the most-watched series on Disney+

We are all keen to see how Bluey and her family’s adventures unfold on the big screen, but apart from 2027 there is no exact release date set as of yet.
