A Wollongong man has been handed three penalty notices, totalling more than $60,000, for allegedly dumping waste tyres in Macquarie Pass National Park.
The NSW EPA said the discovery of more than 2,000 waste tyres, led to a covert investigation at the site.
Five covert cameras around the site, captured an individual arriving in a vehicle, parking directly above a small entry to the bushland, and rolling tyres down the embankment.
