Guidelines for third party Electric Vehicle charging providers, have been adopted by Wollongong City Council.
The Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure on Public Land Policy, will guide decisions made by third-party providers, as Council looks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Council says while it won’t become involved in owing and operating the charging stations, it wants to make make sure they are accessible, convenient, and meet the needs of the community.

Wollongong City Lord Mayor, Councillor Gordon Bradbery, said the policy will support more people to use electric vehicles in Wollongong.
