Wollongong child protection caseworkers to walk out

Child protection caseworkers will walk off the job, and protest outside the Community Services Centre in Wollongong today.

Caseworkers are highlighting what they see as a crisis in child protection – only one in four kids reported to child protection services in the Illawarra, at risk of serious harm, are being seen by a child protection caseworker.

The stop-work will take place from 12.30pm, 1 May, 2024.
