The FRNSW crew from Warrawong, was first on the scene of a unit fire in Warrawong on Sunday.
Crews from Unanderra, Dapto, Wollongong and Shellharbour soon arrived, to find a top floor unit alight, with people hanging out of windows storys above the ground.
Four residents were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene, one was taken to Wollongong Hospital suffering smoke inhalation.
