The NSW Rural Fire Service has slapped a Total Fire Ban on the Illawarra for today.
The strong winds, temps in the mid 20’s, and lack of rain in the past while have created the situation today.
The fire ban is for the Wollongong, Shellharbour, and Kiama local government areas, during a Total Fire Ban you can’t light, maintain or use a fire in the open, or carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire.
