Efforts by Symbio Wildlife Park and South32, have uncovered what’s been called a ‘treasure trove’ of escarpment wildlife secrets, especially around Mount Kembla.
The research project, using ‘thermal drone technology’, has revealed a thriving ecosystem with over 1,150 detections recorded.
The ‘extensive data’ includes over 30 koalas, 88 Southern Greater Gliders and Sugar Gliders, swamp wallabies, wombats, and numerous other animals.
