The value of Illawarra and South Coast Branch volunteers, has been highlighted at Surf Life Saving NSW’s ‘Awards of Excellence’.
Bellambi SLSC topped the charts with four category wins, including back-to-back wins with the Youth Surf Lifesaver of the Year, and the Youth Volunteer of the Year, going to Brody Robertson and Halle Bone, respectively.
Wins also went to Scarborough Wombarra, Coalcliff, Wollongong City, and Kiama Downs.
Kiama Downs’ Nathan Foster, has been named the ‘Masters Athlete of the Year’, at the Surf Life Saving NSW’s Awards.
The Inflatable Rescue Boat or IRB racing legend, said he’s proud to be recognised in a category, stacked with talented athletes.
Nathan’s now in line for honours, at the Surf Life Saving Australia ‘Awards of Excellence’ later this year.
