A review of speed zones, initiated by Shellharbour City Council to provide safer conditions for pedestrians, will see changes start soon.
Transport for NSW that the changes will see a number of areas drop from 40 km/h to 30 km/h.
It includes Addison Street Shellharbour, sections of Woolworths Avenue at Warilla, and school zones along Mary Street, Towns Street, Adelaide Street, and Wilson Street.
Work will be carried out from Monday 23 October for two days and two nights, weather permitting. Work to install new signs will be carried out during the day between 7am and 6pm. Work to install new road marking will be carried out between 7.30pm and 5am.
