Responsible Gambling Officers for the Illawarra

Those in the community against gambling harm, have welcomed the introduction of Responsible Gambling Officers, into pubs and clubs across the state.

Since Monday, venues with more than 20 poker machines in areas like the Illawarra, are required to have a ‘Responsible Gambling Officer’ on duty.

There are more than 2,200 poker machines in Wollongong Clubs, and 572 across local hotels.
