A civilian NSW Police Force employee has been charged for allegedly accessing restricted data.
In May 2024, officers from Lake Illawarra Police began an investigation, regarding unlawful access of data held on the Police computer system.
At about 8.50am Monday 15 July, 2024, a 27-year-old man was arrested at Shellharbour, and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station, where he was charged.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday 21 August, 2024.
