Four people have been charged as part of Operation Fume in the Illawarra.
Running over 12 hours from Friday 28 March 2025 to Saturday 29 March 2025, Police were targeting alcohol and drug driving across the Wollongong and Lake Illawarra Police areas.
159 breath tests were done, with one person charged with a drink-driving offence, also 150 roadside drug tests were performed, with nine positive results detected.

Meantime, a 24-year-old was arrested after allegedly breaching an apprehended violence order, with a female passenger in the car when pulled over
