The Marine Rescue crew from Port Kembla, has made a Sunday morning rescue about 2 kilometres off our coast.
An emergency call came in from a distressed vessel with one person on board just after 11am, Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Stuart Massey, said a motor cruiser reported it was taking on water, and sinking approximately one nautical mile or 2 kilometres east of Five Islands.
The rescue crew arrived to find the skipper standing on the flybridge of his vessel, which was completely under water.
