Police have charged a man, following an armed robbery in Warrawong last year.
Strike Force Cullenya was established to investigate the circumstance surrounding the armed robbery.
Just after 1pm (Tuesday 18 April 2023), Lake Illawarra Police responded to an incident on Kemblawarra Street, Warrawong, after reports two people allegedly threatened a worker with a machete and assaulted him, before stealing his mobile phone and cash and fleeing the scene in an alleged stolen white Audi sedan.
Yesterday, Wednesday 13 March 2024, officers went o a correctional facility in Cessnock and charged a 39-year-old man with robbery in company and take and drive conveyance without consent.
The man will appear in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday 17 April 2024.
