Motorists are advised a section of the Illawarra Highway at Macquarie Pass will be closed this week for maintenance work to be carried out.
The Illawarra Highway will be closed in both directions between Tourist Road and Yellow Rock Road from Tuesday 12 March to Thursday 14 March, between 9am and 3pm, weather permitting.
Work will include repairing drains and signs, maintaining electronic signage, clearing vegetation and collecting litter.
Detours for light vehicles will be in place via Jamberoo Mountain Road, and motorists are advised to allow an additional 10 minutes of travel time between Robertson and Albion Park.
Heavy vehicles will be detoured via the Hume Highway, Picton Road and the M1 Princes Motorway, allowing an additional 20 minutes of travel time between the Hume Motorway and Albion Park.
Property access will be maintained throughout the work.
