The warning has gone out to Illawarra residents, for a ‘low intensity heatwave’ that’ll affect us for the next few days.
The Bureau advising we can expect temps in the high 20’s today and tomorrow, with 30 expected on Friday, ahead of a cooler Southerly change on Saturday morning.
Authorities say heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, kids, and pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Their advice is to take measures to deal with the heat, including closing windows and blinds, and using fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
