The inaugural National Roundtable into healing and recovery from domestic, family and sexual violence, will be held today.
Sally Stevenson AM, Executive Director, Illawarra Women’s Health Centre (IWHC) and founder of the Australian first Women’s Trauma Recovery Centre (WTRC) is attending the roundtable as a founding member of the Alliance which was launched in 2022.
The Illawarra WHC hosted the inaugural and very successful Alliance National Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Recovery Conference in Wollongong last year, and was behind the first film on recovery and healing made by local company Co-Equal which had its national premiere in Parliament House, Canberra earlier this year, the Illawarra WHC continues to drive change at the national level.
The goal of the gathering today, is to develop a National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children.
