The Australian Electoral Commission has a simple message for any Australians who need to enrol or update their details: Time is running out!

  • Enrolment for the 2025 federal election closes at 8pm on Monday 7th April, 2025.

Enrolling to vote takes less than five minutes and can be done online. For the first time at a federal election, voters can now enrol using a Medicare card as proof of identity – increasing further the accessibility to enrol for younger Australians.
