Mark Sleigh has announced his decision to step down as General Manager of Destination Wollongong.
Mr Sleigh had had the reins for 12 years, and in that time the group said Wollongong has seen significant increases in tourism numbers and major events.
Under his watch, the area’s hosted events like the maiden visit of a cruise ship, and delivered the city’s “Olympic moment” with successful UCI road world cycling championship.
