A 120 year old shipwreck has been located 27 kilometres off Port Kembla.
The SS Nemesis was lost in a storm with all hands, after last being seen at about 2pm on Saturday 9 July, 1904, while hauling coal from Newcastle to Melbourne.
Reports are that a few bodies washed up in Cronulla, but the location of the ship has been hidden by the sea, till a survey of missing shipping containers located the wreck in 2022.
