Kiama Council, in partnership with the Kiama Business Network, is hosting a Local Housing Strategy information session breakfast, on Friday 11 April, 7.30am.
The information session is part of Council’s extensive consultation on the draft Local Housing Strategy, which is on public exhibition until 27 April.
Mayor Cameron McDonald has encouraged the community and other stakeholders to register for the free information session and breakfast, which is being held at The Sebel.
The five-year housing target for Kiama is 900 additional dwellings by 2029, that’s why Council developed a Local Housing Strategy, Councillor McDonald said.
He added that this Strategy will help the community manage this growth on their terms while helping Kiama get the support it needs, especially from the NSW Government for the associated infrastructure such as roads and schools.
