A man has been charged following an alleged break and enter in the Illawarra.
About 8pm on Monday 10 March 2025, Wollongong Police were called to a unit in Meadow Street, Fairy Meadow, after reports of an alleged break and enter.
NSW Ambulance also responded and treated a 25-year-old man for a stab wound to the arm, he was taken to Wollongong Hospital for treatment – the injury is not considered life threatening, the offender allegedly fled the scene.
After enquiries, about 9.55pm Tuesday 11 March 2025, Wollongong police went to a home in Rothery Street, Bellambi, a 21-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wollongong Police Station.
He was charged with specially aggravated enter dwelling with intent to wound.
He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday 12 March, 2025.
