Works have begun on multimillion-dollar upgrade works at Dapto High School, which will see the school equipped with a brand new covered outdoor area (COLA).
Delivering on an election commitment made by NSW Labor, $2 million has been invested by the Minns Labor Government to build the new outdoor area, with works commencing this month and due for completion in April 2025.
The improvements will help give students at Dapto High shade on sunny days, allowing space for wet weather play and sport, and outdoor assemblies in poor weather.
To limit disruption to student learning, the majority of the noisy works will occur during the summer break, including the demolition of the existing concrete sports court, and the excavation and leveling of the COLA site.
