A massive search and rescue effort, for a supposed missing swimmer off Sandon Point, has been called off.
Reports came in on Sunday afternoon at about 5.30pm, with people on the shore telling authorities that a swimmer couldn’t be spotted.
The search area was scoured on Sunday and right through till around 10.45am Monday, with no-one located, and no unattended items or a vehicle discovered.
