As we get set for what’s typically the windiest part of the year, Wollongong City Council is posting a reminder.
Council’s asking all builders and contractors, to pay special attention to any construction sites, that may have loose materials including ‘waffle pods’ that could blow away.
The polystyrene blocks, are used by the building industry as ‘void fillers’ in concrete slabs, and because they’re so lightweight, they can blow away in strong winds, and end up in the environment.
