Transport for NSW has advised that students and the school community at Nazareth Catholic Primary School will soon benefit from improved safety with the extension of the current school zone.
Children are among some of our most vulnerable road users and Transport is committed to ensuring they can travel safely to and from school every day.
There will now be an 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲 – both on Glider Avenue to the west by 50m, and for 185m along College Avenue to the north of the intersection of College Avenue and Glider Avenue.
Signage, additional school zone flashing lights and line marking on the road surface will be installed in the coming weeks with these works expected to be completed before the end of June 2024, weather permitting.
Work will be undertaken outside of school zone times to lessen the impact on the community.
