Fire and Rescue NSW Station 346 Kiama, have responded to an unusual incident.
The station reports that at about 7.38am, 1 May, 2024, crews responded to reports of a power pole alight on Saddleback Mountain Rd, Kiama.
On arrival they found a high voltage cable had broken and was touching the pole, causing the pole to catch fire.

Endeavour Energy attended and isolated the power before FRNSW crews extinguished the fire, Saddleback Mountain Road was closed for a short time.
