A removalist truck driver’s been charged after a Bulli Pass crash last month that left one dead and three critically injured.
On February 16 a Hino truck collided with a BMW SUV and a barrier on Lawrence Hargrave Drive, ejecting two passengers from the truck – one of whom died at the scene.
The driver was airlifted to hospital to undergo surgery before being released; the other male passenger of the truck and the female driver of a BMW were also airlifted and remain in hospital.
A 39-year-old was arrested yesterday in Western Sydney.
He was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death – drive manner dangerous, two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – drive manner dangerous, negligent driving – occasioning death, and negligent driving – occasioning grievous bodily harm.
He’s been granted conditional bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court in June.
