Marine Rescue NSW releases January rescue data

Marine Rescue NSW have had a busy January, Illawarra units chipping in with rescues and responses.

87 search and rescue missions, including 40 emergency responses, with 229 people safely returned to shore across all seven Illawarra units, including Port Kembla and Shellharbour.

Overall, the service conducted 703 search and rescue missions in January across the state, safely returning 1,788 people to shore.
