With the cooler weather returning, Wollongong City Council advises that Fire and Rescue NSW will be undertaking a number of hazard reduction pile burns.
The burns will take place within Council reserves in Bulli, Woonona, Mount Pleasant, Austinmer, Wombarra, and Stanwell Park, Friday and Monday.
Council adds that it all depends on the weather, as authorities prepare for the bushfire season.
