Ahead of a new report for Wollongong Council on the matter, the Business Illawarra report on affordable housing, has been welcomed.
Council said the data is in line with Council’s focus and efforts, and many of the points raised, are consistent with the Wollongong Housing Strategy, adopted by Council in February 2023.
Council will also be considering a report, on a draft Planning Agreement for five percent affordable housing, on the former Port Kembla Primary School site.
