Shellharbour City Council has unanimously endorsed the creation of an ‘electrical easement’ to install a community battery over Council land.
Council said the installation of the community battery, offers multiple benefits to local electricity customers including cost savings, improved grid stability, and a decreased need for costly electricity network upgrades.
The battery will be installed in Sovereign Park, Sovereign Court, Shell Cove, the plans will be on public exhibition for 28 days.
